2014 Small Business Outlook
We recently surveyed over 1,500 of our existing small business clients in California and Nevada on their business outlook predictions for 2014. Overall, small business owners seem to have a positive view for 2014. Business growth predictions are perhaps the most positive for 2014 with 62% forecasting improved growth in the New Year. When we asked ‘who’s expanding,’ 37% of the businesses surveyed plan to hire more employees in 2014, and 59% will keep their current workforce. In terms of physical expansion, 34% of businesses surveyed plan to purchase or lease another office space in 2014 and 66% plan to remain in their current locations. When it came to sales volume, the majority of clients surveyed felt 2014 will be another year with increased sales.
